Short description:  Helping younger children explore basic ideas about sensors and control with particular reference to the natural environment and the world around them

Learning objectives

At the end of the session teachers will be able to:

• Help children discover the relationship between input and output and the different mechanisms that make things around them work.
• Explore different ways of making a computer work
• Introduce the concept of sensors to young children and find out about sensors in nature and in their world.
• Use a data logger to collect information and interpret the data
• Use cubelets to build a robot and demonstrate input and output.
